Halloween is coming.

 Here's a little look I done that I was just practicing on myself for when I do my REAL halloween looks. Who's excited?! "It's the most wonderful time of the yeaaaar..." haha :)

To do these I used:

Snazaroo Modelling Wax (I think it's called)
Cheap paint brushes
99% Isopropyl Alcohol
Skin Illustrator FX Palette
Skin Illustrator Complexion palette!

Playing With SFX Makeup.

For me to learn how to do this sort of stuff and how to make it accurate I first watched a LOT of tutorials from youtubers - mainly Freakmo, Glam&Gore, PowdahFX and GoldieStarling. Watching these helped me A LOT, had I not done that I think I would've really been stuck. They are able to teach you some pretty decent techniques and once you've got that down you'll find its pretty easy to do this. I also looked at some reference photos (gross, I know, especially when you're squeamish as hell like me) and that helped to figure out what tissue would look like under a deep laceration like the first photo or how skin bruises like the second. I think this is an alright go for my first try but I obviously will get better and do a much more in depth blog post come October time... Who else is SO excited for Halloween?!

To do these looks I used 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, my Skin Illustrator FX and Complexions palettes, a stipple sponge and some wax.

Skin Illustrator.

YES. YES. SO MUCH YES.

I got home today to the most exciting delivery! My Skin Illustrator palettes came!!! 

I got the FX palette and the flesh tone palette. Since I want to start my FX stuff purely out of curiosity for what it's like and total inspiration coming from the likes of Freakmo and Glam&Gore (check them on YouTube, warning you now some stuff is gory though) I decided to buy these two palettes.

I'm so excited to start them, (very un)patiently waiting on my 99% alcohol to arrive to start using them! They are alcohol activated and I will put a review up of these two palettes as soon as I can with some SFX looks too!
