15 Things 2015 Has Taught Me.

Hey there!

Long time no post! Happy New Year and all that!
Welcome to 2016, the year where I swear to God I'll actually regularly post on here! :P (Every 3 days to be exact)
To kickstart this year I figured I'd do a post on a few things 2015 has taught me. Not going into detail, just giving them in a few bullet points! Here goes...

  • Not everything can be in your control and thats OK.
  • Always be courteous of other people. You never know what's going on behind closed doors.
  • Be patient
  • If someone makes a rude comment about you, the problem lies with them. Not you. They're the insecure ones in the first place to have to make themselves feel better by speaking about you.
  • When anxious, simply remove yourself from the situation as much as possible and as quickly as possible. It may look rude/ignorant but it's worth it.
  • It's important to always stay positive.
  • If someone cares for you, they will make an effort to stay in your life. If they don't, they are not worth it. Also remember this is a two way street.
  • Not a single thing on this Earth is perfect. So there's no point trying to be.
  • Stop comparing yourself to other people (kind of similar to the last one but important nonetheless)
  • Open up more. Never feel afraid to talk to someone, especially if you need it and never bottle up your emotions.
  • Have more faith in yourself.
  • Life can be difficult but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to fight to get there sometimes.
  • It's important to try to love yourself. No matter how hard it is. There is only one you after all.
  • Just because makeup isn't an academic thing to do with your life, doesn't mean you're not smart. It's okay to be more creative, too.
  • You are NOT what people say you are.

I hope you enjoyed these little things that 2015 has taught me, maybe some of you can relate, I don't know! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and I'll see you again soon on here!

My Birthday: Jamie Genevieve Masterclass | Z Hotel | Cathouse.

This is incredibly late (as its now December and I've had this as a 'planned' post since early September but heyho, better late than never) but here's some pics from my birthday and other things.

So for the first part of my birthday celebrations, my cousin got me and her tickets to go to a Jamie Genevieve masterclass that was being held in Debenhams in St Enoch's Centre.

Jamie is a wonderful makeup artist, incredibly inspiring.

She's also incredibly down to earth and just very bubbly, easy to talk to.

Selfies with my makeup hero, what more could you want for your birthday?!

As part of my birthday I got a portrait of my mum, who has passed away, on my arm since it was something I had been dying to do and I finally decided on just getting it done. I love it so much and now I always have her with me. I also got a pandora charm from my boyfriend :) He's also the best.

On my actual birthday, my boyfriend and I booked a hotel for the night - Z Hotel in Glasgow - it was really lovely. The room was small but it was still a very nice hotel and the staff were always very welcoming. We went out to Cathouse (aka my favourite place for a night out) for my birthday night out and I had a great night with all my favourite people.

We also went to go see Sinister 2 - so not as good as the first one!

All in all my birthday was a fab 10/10 and I really enjoyed spending time with everyone. This is so late but heyho! I thought it would still be a good little post to do.
