Playing With SFX Makeup.

For me to learn how to do this sort of stuff and how to make it accurate I first watched a LOT of tutorials from youtubers - mainly Freakmo, Glam&Gore, PowdahFX and GoldieStarling. Watching these helped me A LOT, had I not done that I think I would've really been stuck. They are able to teach you some pretty decent techniques and once you've got that down you'll find its pretty easy to do this. I also looked at some reference photos (gross, I know, especially when you're squeamish as hell like me) and that helped to figure out what tissue would look like under a deep laceration like the first photo or how skin bruises like the second. I think this is an alright go for my first try but I obviously will get better and do a much more in depth blog post come October time... Who else is SO excited for Halloween?!

To do these looks I used 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, my Skin Illustrator FX and Complexions palettes, a stipple sponge and some wax.

Thank you for reading,

Definitely an in depth blog post coming soon though...

Just Some Makeup...

Can't remember the majority of the things I've used in these pics... Should really start remembering to take damn notes! I do know, however, that glitter is the devil and I am STILL finding it everywhere. I also know that the majority of these pics I am wearing ABH DipBrow in Dark Brown and the Contour Palette in Fair/Medium and the glitter used is by MAC :)

I hope you enjoy! x

REVIEW: Lush Think Pink Bath Bomb.

This cute little flowery bath bomb smells SO good.

The main ingredients are:
Sodium Bicarbonate
Citric Acid
Lavender Oil
Tonka Absolute
Fair trade Vanilla Absolute
Neroli Oil

Lush's description of this not their website is: "A relaxing pink bath bomb with a sweet vanilla and tonka fragrance. As it dissolves, you'll feel as though you're getting a big hug - you'll find yourself surrounded by rice paper confetti hearts that slowly melt away."

Personally I didn't sense a lot of vanilla in there, it was quite fruity/citrusy for me. I loved it though and the lavender oil definitely helped calm me.

Overall I loved this bath bomb and for £2.65 I can't complain about it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Haul.

I decided I'd treat myself to the well known Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and Contour Kit.

I got the shade Dark Brown which is more or less perfect for my hair colour.

I think this was around £15-£18 (I can't remember exactly) but there is a LOT of product in there and I can definitely see me getting my money's worth from it. Still figuring out how to work with it as it's incredibly different from just a brow powder as its like a sort of moussey/gel like formula.

Next is the ABH Contour Palette in Light-Medium. This includes the shades - Vanilla, Banana, Sand, Java, Fawn and Havana.
I love how pigmented this product is but I will say, for the price, it's not really worth it unless you are wanting to be a makeup artist... I say this because I use two, maybe three of the shades if I'm lucky but I know I'll get a lot more use out of it when I'm working on people's faces. Still definitely a good product to have though! This costs £39.

Thank you for reading! Next post is another LUSH one :)

Hope you enjoyed!
