Rose Gold Eye Makeup Look

Hey!

Today's post is on this rose gold eye makeup that I've been wearing loads recently because I love it so much, the colours are super pretty and flattering!

For the eyes/brows I used;
Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark Brown,
Illamasqua Brow cake in Gaze
Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel
Makeup Revolution Ultra Cover & Conceal palette in light
Makeup Geek Bitten, Peach Smoothie and Grandstand Eyeshadows
Makeup Revolution Awesome Metals in Rose Gold
Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
Rimmel liquid liner

For the face/lips I used;

Rimmel True Match + L'OReal Infallible foundations
Anastasia Contour Kit in light-medium
Rimmel Blush
MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle
Illamasqua lip pencil + Shard and Resist lipsticks mixed
NYX Dewy Setting Spray

For the eyes I started off with a base of concealer to cancel out veins and redness on my eyelids, also to carve out my brows so I could clean up any mistakes I'd made. Next I powdered it using the banana shade from the Anastasia contour kit just to set it down and make sure it would stay all day. I started off with a little bit of Bitten by Makeup Geek in the crease, barely dipping my brush for product so that the pigmentation wasn't too strong as I wanted this to be quite soft and blended. I blended out any edges I did end up having very softly with Peach Smoothie by Makeup Geek. I then put a very (and this is important) very thin layer of Makeup Revolution's Awesome Metals cream shadow in Rose Gold and then layered Makeup Geek's Grandstand shadow over top of the cream base. The reason for it having to be a thin layer is that this product tends to crease quite a bit if you apply it quite thickly and obviously, we don't want that! Haha. Next I just added a winged liner, added Bitten very softly to the lower lashes and then added mascara and I was done! :)

So, there's the look! I hope you enjoyed and I'll have a new post up soon :)

Quick Little Superdrug Haul.

Hey!

So in the last couple of weeks I picked a couple of things up that I'd been dying to try from Superdrug - all things which I will do reviews on once I've used them a bunch and know my thoughts on them!

So, I got the Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Gold Iridescent, it was £4.59 and I thought this would be perfect for the inner corners, to use as a highlight (because it is very fine, barely feels like glitter) and for cut creases and such. It also looked like a very cheap alternative to MAC's Reflect Gold glitter! I'll let you all know how I get on with this when I get to using it properly.

Next up was the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in the shade Tranquility, for £3. When I swatched this in store it looked like a much more matte version of one of my MAC lipsticks (one which I wish was matte as well) so I decided to pick it up too! Again I'll let you all know how I get on with this. It's a gorgeous colour though!

Lastly are the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighters in Iridescent Gold and Pink Shimmer, both £3. Originally, I just swatched these and decided that I didn't need yet another highlighter... So I carried on my way around Superdrug and swatched things but kept going back and looking at these and looking at the swatches and just completely falling in love! They ended up being in my hands before I knew it - and luckily too, because they were the last ones!

I hope you enjoyed this little mini haul, will be posting my reviews as soon as I get to know my thoughts and all these products! :)

Thank you for reading!

Urban Decay Electric Palette: Swatches + Review

Hey lovelies!

As it was my birthday recently, I got a £30 gift card to House of Frasers which I happily spent in Urban Decay on a palette I've been eyeing up for what seems like forever. It's the Urban Decay Electric palette.

I also bought a mini primer potion and it's super good too! Might do a review on that of how my eyeshadow lasts with and without it..

Excuse the flash but I was in terrible lighting so I had to do what I had to do. Here are the 10 beautiful shades that you have in the palette to work with and actually, a pretty decent double sided brush considering normally they're not that great.

From left to right there is: Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn, Savage, Fringe, Chaos, Jilted, Urban, Freak and Thrash.

These eyeshadows are all immensely pigmented and people say it's hard to work with but I actually find them easy to work with, easy to build up and you can use other palettes/eyeshadows you have in combination with these to make it more "wearable" for everyday use. The palette has very pretty packaging, a decent sized mirror and ten absolutely awesome shades I feel like this will be secure and also a good purchase for my makeup kit as well as to use for myself. My favourite of the shades are Chaos (the royal blue), Urban (the deeper, shimmery purple) and Savage (the hot matte pink).

I totally think this is worth the money, I think the palette is super pretty and definitely brings out more of a creative edge with me whenever I pick it up (which has been more or less everyday since I bought it!) and I can see myself getting the use out of it... Even using some of the eyeshadows as liners with my Illamasqua Sealing Gel, it's just such a cool palette and I'm really enjoying working with it and playing with it! Obviously if you don't really like colourful eyeshadows, this isn't going to be the one for you but I'm glad I bought it as I feel like we are completely makeup soul-mates.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Winged Out Eyeshadow Look.

Hey lovelies!

Today's little makeup post is on a winged out eyeshadow look. I never tend to go with this unless I'm wearing liner but I actually really liked the way this turned out when I done it so I thought I'd do a little post on it!

I just packed on the Mesmerised eyeshadow by Makeup Geek all over the lid with a little bit of Makeup Revolution Awesome Metals in Rose Gold in the inner corner. I cleaned up the edges with a baby wipe and blended out any harsh lines but other than that, I was done with this look because I really loved how it turned out!

I used the Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara, Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark Brown, Illamasqua Brow Cake in Gaze for the brows and mascara. For the face I used Rimmel True Match foundation in Ivory, Anastasia powder Contour Kit in Light-Medium, MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle and MAC's Velvet Teddy very lightly dabbed on the lips.
