Urban Decay Electric Palette: Swatches + Review

Hey lovelies!

As it was my birthday recently, I got a £30 gift card to House of Frasers which I happily spent in Urban Decay on a palette I've been eyeing up for what seems like forever. It's the Urban Decay Electric palette.

I also bought a mini primer potion and it's super good too! Might do a review on that of how my eyeshadow lasts with and without it.. 

Excuse the flash but I was in terrible lighting so I had to do what I had to do. Here are the 10 beautiful shades that you have in the palette to work with and actually, a pretty decent double sided brush considering normally they're not that great.

From left to right there is: Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn, Savage, Fringe, Chaos, Jilted, Urban, Freak and Thrash.

These eyeshadows are all immensely pigmented and people say it's hard to work with but I actually find them easy to work with, easy to build up and you can use other palettes/eyeshadows you have in combination with these to make it more "wearable" for everyday use. The palette has very pretty packaging, a decent sized mirror and ten absolutely awesome shades I feel like this will be secure and also a good purchase for my makeup kit as well as to use for myself. My favourite of the shades are Chaos (the royal blue), Urban (the deeper, shimmery purple) and Savage (the hot matte pink).

I totally think this is worth the money, I think the palette is super pretty and definitely brings out more of a creative edge with me whenever I pick it up (which has been more or less everyday since I bought it!) and I can see myself getting the use out of it... Even using some of the eyeshadows as liners with my Illamasqua Sealing Gel, it's just such a cool palette and I'm really enjoying working with it and playing with it! Obviously if you don't really like colourful eyeshadows, this isn't going to be the one for you but I'm glad I bought it as I feel like we are completely makeup soul-mates.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hr | Review + Swatches

Hey lovelies,

These are the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream eyeshadows! I have the shades Eternal Gold, Pink Gold and Creme de Rose.

The only difference in these photos is one is with flash and one is without. These are gorgeous as bases for any eyeshadow (or pigment) that you put on top of them. They can be quite sheer or you can build them up to be opaque like in the photos and they are just gorgeous for everyday. I will say that when I use them I definitely see a difference in the longevity of my eyeshadow - and for the price point and how much you generally get in a little pot - I think that's pretty amazing!

There's so many gorgeous colours that I just can't wait to get my hands on, and I'll definitely be repurchasing these 3 when I run out of them!
Overall these are a 8/10 and I highly recommend them.

REVIEW: Makeup Geek Shadows.

Hey lovelies! 

I have lusted after Makeup Geek shadows ever since Marlena (who runs the youtube channel MakeupGeek, funnily enough) announced she was making products! I always admired her makeup and loved her channel so to hear she was making her own products was really exciting! Anyway, I lusted after them for a while, used to go on the MakeupGeek website and put lots of the shadows in my basket and then going against it. I just never wanted to get hit with the customs cost which always seems to happen to me. So, when Beauty Bay announced the arrival of MakeupGeek prodcuts I've never jumped on a website so quick! 

If you've ever ordered from Beauty Bay you'll know their service is amazing etcetc! But here are the shadows I currently own:

From left to right: Corrupt, Bitten, Mesmerized, Typhoon, Peach Smoothie & Shimma Shimma.

Of course I absolutely had to get the cult favourites Peach Smoothie & Corrupt. The rest are all gorgeous and have seemed to make their way into my daily routine. I also use Shimma Shimma as a highlight on the face at times as well, just a tip for anyone!!

Honestly the pigmentation of these eyeshadows is amazing and I was very pleasantly surprised, they are just as good as MAC eyeshadows, if not better, for half the price! Which honestly is amazing. I totally think these are worth the hype, totally worth the money and I think these will be a staple in my makeup collection. Sort of want every single colour they do, haha!

MAC Lip Product Collection + Swatches.

Hey lovelies!
I hope you had a good Valentines, I just thought I'd do a post on my MAC lip product collection since my Illamasqua one went down really well!

I think everyone knows that MAC lipsticks are pretty much a must have, their formula is amazing and they smell amazing (honestly, if you've never had a MAC lipstick, your first one and your first little scent of it is the best thing ever) and I think they're a staple in anyones makeup collection. I, for one, will have many MAC lipsticks throughout my lifetime, that I know haha! Here's some swatches of what I have so far:

From left to right: Nightmoth (lip liner), Hang Up, Velvet Teddy, Russian Red, New York Apple, Sin, Cyber, Amorous, Ruby Woo & Dark Side.

I love all my colours and can't wait to add to my collection, I have a few in mind already! I would have swatched them on the lips but my lips are incredibly dry at the minute so didn't really feel like making it worse and there is so many of them too!
