Why I'm Not Supporting Jeffree Star Anymore.

Hey lovelies!

Today is a different kind of post for me, it will probably be quite controversial and I hate to do it but I've made numerous posts including Jeffree Star's liquid lipsticks, praising him, praising his brand and I just felt like I had to address it since I'm not going to be using his products anymore.

Colourful Liner | MOTD.

Hey lovelies!

I hope you've had a nice weekend, today's post is on this cute colourful liner!

I did a light wash of Wedge by MAC in the crease and Shimma Shimma by Makeup Geek over the lid and in the inner corner. For the liner I used Androgyny by Jeffree Star! It's a liquid lipstick thats safe to use on the eyes too! I love a multi-purpose product, don't you?

I obviously paired it with Androgyny on the lips! ;)

I just thought this was a cute little post to do for today. Colourful liner is really pretty and different if you want to do something out of the norm!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed.

Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick Haul/Review.

Hey lovelies!

I'm coming at you with a cute little haul from Jeffree Star Cosmetics!

I ordered Androgyny and Scorpio and it's safe to say I'm absolutely in love with both. The formula is just as amazing as Redrum and I can't wait to get every single colour, I genuinely really love this lipstick and brand so far, he's done so amazing and I'm quickly becoming a Jeffree Star Cosmetic ride or die kinda girl. I think these lipsticks are my ride or die defo, I pick them up over my MAC and Illamasqua ones anyday.

These are the swatches on my arm, on the left is Scorpio which is coming off a lot more purple than it actually is - it's more of a grey toned sort of purple and it's gorgeous. Androgyny is a very pretty nudey purpley/pink/mauve and it's stunning too!

Androgyny on the lips

Scorpio on the lips.

Overall I highly recommend these lipsticks - I've also tried on my bestfriend's Unicorn Blood lipstick and it's so gorgeous too, I love it!! Honestly just buy one and try them, there are no complaints!

Thank you for reading!

Dita Von Teese Inspired Makeup Look.

Hey lovelies!

I was inspired to do this post because I honestly just love Dita Von Teese and she's just so beautiful. She makes me want to buy loads of corsets and waist train and be just the perfect pin up beautiful lady that she is, haha! Anyways, I seen this photo in particular:

(Sorry for the NSFW photo)
And felt like I had to do a look inspired by it! Obviously it's not going to be exact but that's just life and I added highlight where she didn't and I kept to bronzer rather than adding blush, purely because of personal preference.

Anyway here is the look I came up with:

I obviously had to add the trademark Dita beauty mark and red lip :)

I used:

Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark brown to outline my brows and fill them in slightly, then Illamasqua's Browcake in Gaze to fill them in more because Dita's brows are incredibly beautiful and thick and dark, I then used a very pale shadow all over my lid once I'd primed it to highlight the brow bone and set my primer - I used MAC's Orb for that. Then I highlighted the brow bone more with a little bit of Shroom by MAC. I then went in with Makeup Geek's Shimma Shimma in the inner corner and MAC's Wedge in the crease, I made sure to thoroughly blend it out so there was no harsh lines and Makeup Geek's Peach Smoothie mixed with Orb again just above the crease to make sure it was blended nicely. I then lined my upper lashline with Illamasqua's gel liner in Infinity. I used Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation in Ivory and Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer to get rid of some imperfections. Then going on to the lips (cause I just couldn't wait tbh) with Jeffree Star's Redrum liquid lipstick. I then went in with Anastasia's Contour Kit to bronze up my complexion and finally MAC's Soft & Gentle MSF to highlight my cheekbones!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! :)

I quite liked doing a celeb inspired look so maybe look out for more of these in the future!

Holy Grails: Top 3 Lipsticks.

Hey lovelies!

Another one of my Holy Grail posts! Today I'm bringing you my top 3 holy grail lipsticks!

Here they are:

I'm not really into neutral lipsticks, I am pretty much into just full on colourful or dark lips so here goes!

First up is Cyber by MAC. I love this dark purple colour, it's perfect over the Nightmoth lipliner by MAC and I just love this shade.

Next up is Illamasqua's ESP lipstick!

When my hair was just freshly done this suited my hair almost perfectly which was amazing!! I absolutely loved it! It's a perfect matte finish and lasts really well. Gorgeous on and gorgeous on darker skin tones as well.

Lastly is Jeffree Star's liquid lipstick, a review of which I have here.

This is in the shade Redrum and I'm really sorry about the wonky application but my lips were pretty sore by this point and I just wanted it finished by this point, haha! This is a gorgeous red, matte shade and I absolutely love it!

What are your favourite lipsticks?

REVIEW: Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick.

Hey lovelies!

Today I've brought a little review for you since the last few posts have been all about makeup and I thought what else to do it on than the massive craze atm.. liquid lipsticks!

I have Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipstick in the shade Redrum. A gorgeous, blue toned, "true" red. It's a seriously stunning shade. So first I'll show you the swatches, which honestly speak for themself, talk about what Jeffree claims about his liquid lipsticks, the other shades available, where to get them and then finally what I personally think.

Here are the photos:

Okay, so from the official Jeffree Star Cosmetics website, he claims this colour is the perfect red (which it is) and that it will look amazing on any skin tone (which it would) so that I definitely agree with. These products and I'm assuming all of Jeffree's products are vegan and cruelty free - which for anyone who is worried about that will be relieved to no. Personally it doesn't bother me too much but it is good to know there are no harsh chemicals or anything in his products! He claims it goes on opaque and stays for hours. Which again, I agree with.

The swatches I have showed on my hand and my lips are with just one layer. The pigment is there as soon as you put it on which I love. It takes around 30-40 seconds to dry completely matte, which isn't really a problem. It isn't drying but I still tend to use a lip balm under it to prevent any drying at all, which also sometimes can add to the drying time but it's nothing too bad. The formula of this lipstick means it is SO easy to overline your lips, which I love because I just personally really like that look. I think these are amazing, his colours are absolutely gorgeous! He's obviously a really out there and colourful person and that shows in his makeup line. I'm a huge fan of Jeffree and I don't think anyone will be able to beat his fantastic liquid lipstick line. I want all the colours!! The packaging is super cute, signature pink for Jeffree, of course, with the little stars I think it's really cute and adorable. Also about the packaging, the lid you can actually hear 'click' when it's closed which I find good as there's been plenty of times where I've thought I've closed a lipstick properly and haven't. The applicator of these lipsticks are lovely, they only have product in the actual little dip in the doe-foot (I don't know if that's how you spell it) applicator so there's no extra product anywhere. The only thing I have trouble with about is that the doe-foot applicator is a teensy bit 'fluffy' I suppose you could call it so sometimes getting a precise line isn't always possible. But it's easily fixed with using a lip brush.
I'd highly recommend getting your hands on a few of the colours, they're all stunning and I can't wait to get more! Watch out though as they all sell out SO fast!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!
