REVIEW: Lush Think Pink Bath Bomb.

This cute little flowery bath bomb smells SO good.

The main ingredients are:
Sodium Bicarbonate
Citric Acid
Lavender Oil
Tonka Absolute
Fair trade Vanilla Absolute
Neroli Oil

Lush's description of this not their website is: "A relaxing pink bath bomb with a sweet vanilla and tonka fragrance. As it dissolves, you'll feel as though you're getting a big hug - you'll find yourself surrounded by rice paper confetti hearts that slowly melt away."

Personally I didn't sense a lot of vanilla in there, it was quite fruity/citrusy for me. I loved it though and the lavender oil definitely helped calm me.

Overall I loved this bath bomb and for £2.65 I can't complain about it.

Hope you enjoyed

Anastasia Beverly Hills Haul.

I decided I'd treat myself to the well known Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and Contour Kit.

I got the shade Dark Brown which is more or less perfect for my hair colour.

I think this was around £15-£18 (I can't remember exactly) but there is a LOT of product in there and I can definitely see me getting my money's worth from it. Still figuring out how to work with it as it's incredibly different from just a brow powder as its like a sort of moussey/gel like formula.

Next is the ABH Contour Palette in Light-Medium. This includes the shades - Vanilla, Banana, Sand, Java, Fawn and Havana.
I love how pigmented this product is but I will say, for the price, it's not really worth it unless you are wanting to be a makeup artist... I say this because I use two, maybe three of the shades if I'm lucky but I know I'll get a lot more use out of it when I'm working on people's faces. Still definitely a good product to have though! This costs £39.

Thank you for reading! Next post is another LUSH one :)

Hope you enjoyed!

YOU LOOK DISGUSTING.

This post was inspired by MyPaleSkin on youtube's video she recently posted. Click here to watch it before continuing to read.

Okay so anyone who knows me in real life knows for maybe the past year and a half or so, I've struggled with problems with my skin, that I've never necessarily had. I mean, I've had spots as every teenager has - but it's never been the way it is now.
At it's worst, it looks like this.

Obviously this is incredibly hard to cover up, no matter how good of a foundation or concealer etc you have. It also hurts, it's very dry and annoying in general.

This is what it looks like when I have makeup on:

So from these photos (purposely taken with a flash) you can see the redness still shows through, there are very horrible dry patches and you can see my skin in general is not "smooth" like someone else's may be.

There are two reasons I decided to make this post. One was because of MyPaleSkin's video (that now has an amazing 11 million views) again, please watch that first because it will explain this post better than I most likely can, haha. The other is because of this:

Anyone who knows me personally will have seen this status I put up previously to writing this post. But yeah, this was my other reason. I was on my way to see my dad, my boyfriend had dropped me off at the train station so I could be on my merry way, I was feeling good, I felt positive, I liked how I looked/how my makeup looked. Obviously I know my skin has a bit of a problem just now and isn't particularly nice looking... I have to wake up and see that every morning and I am incredibly self conscious about it.

It sucks just as much because I want to be a makeup artist and I am constantly stuck in this rut of "Why would anyone trust me with their face when they see mine?" But it's literally NOTHING I am doing wrong, I clean my face just as much and as well as everyone else does, I clean my makeup brushes, I do everything I'm supposed to... but unfortunately I'm stuck with my skin like this at the moment.

It sucks. I hate it. I hate looking in the mirror. I hate feeling uncomfortable to go outside without makeup. And for people - my age as well (I say this because surely girls my age will know what it's like to feel insecure about themselves)- to comment/take photos and laugh at me is just down right disgusting. Am I or am I right?

A few of the things they said:
"What is the point in her wearing makeup when you can see she has spots anyway?"
"That looks disgusting.."
"She's clearly never washed her face before"

I hate my skin. I hate being uncomfortable in it. But what can I do?
I have tried medication and different types of makeup, it's nothing I am allergic to. I haven't been to a dermatologist yet purely because I have to be sent to one by my doctor, which I haven't been yet.

If anything comes from this post, I just want people to be aware of how they can make people feel. I think when it really comes down to it people pick out other peoples insecurities because they are insecure themselves, but it still doesn't give them the right.

Without my boyfriend even knowing this had happened yet, he text me when he got home from dropping me off, telling me how beautiful I looked. And after that, did I believe it? No.
Would I have if that hadn't happened? Yeah, probably.
Will I ever believe it now? Maybe someday.

And that right there is why you should never wreck someones confidence.

Even if you don't agree with what someone is doing/wearing... Keep. Your. Fucking. Mouth. Shut. End of story.

And remember, what comes around goes around.

REVIEW: Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub.

Like I said in my last post, I have lots of lush things coming up on my blog!

Today's is the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush. What you do with this is dip your finger, scrub the dead skin off of your lips with it to make them super soft again and then what's best is you can lick it right off!

Here is the description provided by Lush:

"Prep your lips with a buff and polish at the start of your make-up routine to ensure your lipstick glides on and stays put. Just apply with a clean finger, and let the exfoliating caster sugar and softening jojoba oil scrub away dead skin and infuse moisture to rejuvenate your smile. Bubblegum lip scrub won’t leave any greasy residue; just a sweet candy taste that you’ll enjoy licking off. Lip-smackingly good."

And the main ingredients are:
Caster Sugar
Organic Jojoba Oil

As I said in my last post, Lush do not test on animals and use only freshnatural ingredients (their ingredients are so fresh they have a use by date). This retails for £5.50 and to be completely honest this was an impulse buy as I'd tried it before but not really, probably wouldn't buy again because it is quite expensive for something you can make in your own home. However the good side to this is that you only need a little bit so it does last a while, so I guess you get your money's worth, it tastes yummy and leaves my lips feeling super, super soft. It also comes in a mint and popcorn flavour I believe. As a matte lipstick lover a good lip scrub does me well though!

I hope you enjoyed this post and are looking forward to my other upcoming lush posts!

Thank you for reading, I'll speak to you all soon!!

Ps. What's the bet I'm fed up of typing the word lush by the time I've finished these review posts??

REVIEW: Ickle Baby Bot Bath Ballistic.

Hey again!

I recently went out and got myself a few  perfect stuff from lush and I at first thought, "I should do a blog post and do a lush haul so I won't use any of this yet..." but that lasted a whole 24 hours because as we speak I'm running a bath to start my lush baths with! :')
Typical. So anyway, I've decided it'd be unfair of me to show you a haul when I've used some stuff already ;) so I'll just review everything after I've used it which means lots of lush posts for you guys which ALSO means that I will no doubt tempt some of you to go spoil yourselves! Haha!

Today I'm reviewing the Ickle Baby Bot - which I only really bought because my boyfriend pointed him out and he was so cute and smelled so good that I couldn't help myself! He was £1.95 which makes sense cause he's teensy tiny.

This bath bomb is actually meant for babies (I only know this because I looked up everything about it on the lush website) and it's supposed to help you (or your baby) sleep. I may update you all on my next lush post on if I think that's accurate. It doesn't do much once it's dissolved, just smells good and turns your water a baby blue colour.

The main scent is lavender but it's main ingredients are:
Sodium Bicarbonate
Citric Acid
Lavender Oil
Sandalwood Oil
Chamomile Blue Oil

Lush's Description:
"A gentle lavender bath bomb to relax children before bedtime. This is a bath bomb designed to look after a young child's delicate skin and is so gentle it's suitable for babies over 6 months. It's aromatherapy oils also work to soothe irritable cherubs before bedtime. Lavender is a calming aromatherapy oil, used in traditional medicine to treat skin irritations, sunburn and insect bites."

For those who may not know, Lush use all natural ingredients in their bath bombs and do not test on animals, they're a wonderful company!

Overall I think this bath bomb is super cute, affordable, it smells absolutely amazing, makes your skin soft, it's definitely very calming and can see it helping you sleep. Would 100% repurchase and recommend.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I've included a little pic of the little guy dissolving away and giving me a lovely bath!

Thank you for reading :) I will speak to you all soon.

Skin Illustrator.

YES. YES. SO MUCH YES.

I got home today to the most exciting delivery! My Skin Illustrator palettes came!!!

I got the FX palette and the flesh tone palette. Since I want to start my FX stuff purely out of curiosity for what it's like and total inspiration coming from the likes of Freakmo and Glam&Gore (check them on YouTube, warning you now some stuff is gory though) I decided to buy these two palettes.

I'm so excited to start them, (very un)patiently waiting on my 99% alcohol to arrive to start using them! They are alcohol activated and I will put a review up of these two palettes as soon as I can with some SFX looks too!

Here's what they look like:

Thank you for reading and I hope you're looking forward to some SFX on my blog soon!!
